H2 MOBILITY Offers GHG Quota Service for Hydrogen Filling Station Operators

H2 MOBILITY has been offering a greenhouse gas quota service for hydrogen refueling station operators since the beginning of September. With this service, the company provides third parties with access to the GHG quota trading market, sells the saved greenhouse gas emissions in a bundled format, and simultaneously ensures legally compliant verification. This service enables access to the GHG quota trading market, thus offering all providers non-discriminatory participation in the market.

Trading in greenhouse gas (GHG) savings is complex and presents challenges for many hydrogen refueling station operators. Strict regulatory requirements, time-consuming verification procedures, and volatile market mechanisms make participation resource-intensive.

H2 MOBILITY's range of services includes secure, intra-year marketing of emission savings, timely and legally compliant documentation, regular price updates, and a modular service structure. A key aspect of the service is the bundling of GHG savings from various operators and the selection of a strategic sales timing to improve negotiating leverage. This allows operators who have previously been denied access to the GHG market due to a lack of expertise or limited volumes to participate.
