New Bio-CNG/LNG Fueling Station in Meineweh
Verbio is expanding its filling station network with the commissioning of BioLNG/BioCNG stations along the A9 highway near Naumburg (Saale). At the new location at Zur Heeresstraße 2 in 06721 Meineweh (A9, Naumburg exit), freight forwarders can refuel with climate-friendly and cost-effective BioLNG and BioCNG from Verbio around the clock (24/7). This not only enables considerable cost savings compared to diesel, but also improves the green footprint.
Growing filling station network
Since 2021, Verbio has been investing in its own filling station network for BioCNG and BioLNG, thus strengthening nationwide access to environmentally friendly fuel alternatives. Verbio already has 17 of its own BioCNG/BioLNG stations in operation throughout Germany. Six more are to follow in the coming weeks and months. In addition, a trading cooperation with BayWa Power Liquids GmbH (BPL) has been in place since last year. This means that freight forwarders can also fill up with Verbio BioLNG at eleven BayWa LNG filling stations. The Verbio filling stations are open around the clock every day. In addition to Verbio's own fuel card, a wide range of fuel cards are accepted for payment, including DKV and UTA.
Strong partner for cost-efficient and sustainable truck logistics
Verbio is a strong partner for green mobility for hauliers and companies with their own vehicle fleet. Verbio's biomethane is produced from agricultural waste. The biofuel achieves up to 90 percent CO2 reduction and a significant cost advantage over fossil diesel.
In addition to the public BioCNG/BioLNG stations, Verbio also realizes individual filling station projects. Partners such as Heidelberg Materials, Reinert Logistic, Reichhart Logistik, Transgourmet and Reck Busreisen are already relying on individual Verbio solutions for economical and climate-friendly truck freight transport.
Biomethane: an efficient fuel
Biomethane is a climate-friendly and cost-effective alternative to fossil diesel for HGV freight transport and local public transport. It can be refueled in gaseous form (as BioCNG) or liquefied (as BioLNG). A standard truck running on BioCNG can cover a distance of 500 to 750 kilometers per tank. For long distances, the LNG drive is particularly attractive: the ranges here are between 1,000 and 1,600 km between two refueling stops. Manufacturers such as Scania, IVECO, Volvo and Mercedes Benz have corresponding series vehicles on offer.
Verbio is also gradually converting its own fleet to low-emission technology: 116 of the 144 Verbio tractor units currently have CNG or LNG drive systems and are predominantly powered by the climate-friendly, residue-based biomethane produced in-house.
