Two Years of Enhanced Energy Security in Germany and Europe

Mid January DET celebrated its second anniversary. Since its inception, the company has been dedicated to ensuring a reliable energy supply for Germany and Europe, even in times of significant challenges. In doing so, DET has made a vital contribution to the stability of the energy system on the path to climate neutrality.

From the start, DET has pursued a clear mission: to provide stability in uncertain times. Some argue that the LNG share of German gas imports is dispensable. Regarding our send-out of 59 TWh in 2024 and 2023 we say: We supply the energy for around 18 per cent of all household and commercial customers every year or 7 per cent of total German consumption.

Over the past two years, the DET team has worked tirelessly to secure energy supplies while actively supporting the transition to a climate-neutral future. The company’s terminals are designed to increase imports as needed, offering an essential safeguard for Germany and Europe, especially during crises.
