PortAventura World is open

Port Aventura World opened on 15th May with all the social and hygiene measures in place to ensure a safe experience

  • With an investment of more than 5 million euros, the resort has all the measures in place against COVID-19, which include maintaining the limit on capacity in the parks, as well as the ensuring the mandatory use of masks and social distancing
  • PortAventura World is back with a full offering including its legendary rides such as Shambhala, Red-Force in Ferrari Land or Street Mission. 3 of its 6 themed hotels opened as well.
  • PortAventura World starts back up with the opening of PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. In turn, Caribe Aquatic Park will open its doors on 23rd June. Hotel Colorado Creek, Hotel PortAventura and Hotel Gold River also opened back up on 15th May.

    With the aim of safeguarding the health of clients and employees to the maximum, all the safety, social distancing and hygiene measures stipulated by the authorities and certified by external auditing companies have been adhered to. Within this framework, PortAventura World has received the “Safe Travels” award, the first global stamp of approval for safety and hygiene for travel and tourism.

    Since the beginning of the pandemic, PortAventura World has focussed its efforts on implementing all the necessary initiatives in order to become a safe space with an investment of over 5 million euros. The main measures that have been taken include a limit on capacity and the use of masks inside the resort. The corresponding signage is still there and cashless payments are encouraged in order to improve the client’s experience.

    New offer and the commitment to digitalisation

    PortAventura World is back with a full offering including its legendary rides such as Shambhala, Red-Force in Ferrari Land or Street Mission.

    New arrivals for this 2021 season will include the presentation of the new Sesame Street character, Big Bird, and a new Shrek meet and greet which will premiere on 23rd June. Further to this, some of the legendary shows from PortAventura Park will be back, like Bang Bang West and Birds of Paradise, as well as street shows. From 29th May onwards, clients will be able to enjoy the Around the World show at the Chinese Great Imperial Theatre.

    In line with the aim of improving the experience of its visitors, the company is immersed in a digital acceleration initiative in order to continue to offer a quality service, whilst providing a response to the needs of the current context and becoming a leader in its sector.

    This commitment to technology will also be seen this season at PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land with an access scanner for rides with the Express Service.
