Press release -

Spain launches the largest information portal for its audiovisual industry: Spain Audiovisual Hub

The new portal is meant to be the single point of entry to information about the Spanish audiovisual industry, the companies that make it up, its activity and its diversity. The portal also aims at showcasing the most relevant Spanish productions such as films, television series, shorts, animation films and video games. In addition, Spain Audiovisual Hub provides information about specific regulations for foreign professionals, incentives, financial support, procedures, locations and an extensive directory of different industry agents classified by their activity.

The contents and sections of the website are the result of close collaboration between the different departments of the Spanish Public Administration involved in the project (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Ministry of Culture and Sports, Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and Ministry of Ecological Transition) and the professional industry through the public-private forum created to continuously promote collaboration between the Administration and the agents of the industry. The content of the portal will be constantly evolving and expanding and will take into consideration the suggestions for improvement, the voice of the industry and the participation of professionals.

With great visual support and intuitive navigation, the Spain Audiovisual Hub portal is part of the Spain Audiovisual HUB Plan to make Spain one of the driving forces of European audiovisual production.

Estonian professionals working in the audiovisual industry can benefit from the extensive information available on the portal and learn more about the advantages of filming in Spain. For example, they can discover all the filming locations that our country has to offer, as well as the different Regional Governments Financial Support Programs. The portal also offers information on training for professionals and participation in festivals, among many other resources.

Film tourism

Film tourism plays an essential role in the Spanish tourism diversification strategy. The increase of the flows of tourists to places in Spain where films, series or other audiovisual works have been made is having a positive impact on the transformation of our tourism model towards sustainability. In particular, this new type of tourism allows the discovery of new destinations (deconcentration), promotes the distribution of tourists to Spain throughout the year (seasonal adjustment) and enriches the experience of the tourists who come to Spain by adding new experiences to their visit (diversification).
