Arkki workshop: Sweet Architecture. With Pihla Meskanen
The Museo Würth La Rioja will host the Arkki workshop “Sweet Architecture” with Pihla Meskanen on September 3rd with two sessions (11 am / 12.30 pm) aimed at children aged 7-12.
Children explore the world and learn by playing. Creativity is also developed by playing and using the imagination. This original workshop will be the best occasion for children to investigate our built environment and learn about structures in architecture in a fun way. In the workshop “Sweet Architecture”, children will make structural discoveries and test their own model built with triangular structures. “Sweet Architecture” offers a fun and delicious experience like no other, because children will be able to taste how architecture tastes… The main goal of the activity is to bring participants closer to the geometry of space and to create “architectural masterpieces” using toothpicks and sweets as building materials.
In order to guarantee the social and safety distancing measures indicated by the health authorities, groups are very small and prior registration is required on +34 941 010 410. All participants must wear a mask and respect at all times the indications of the health authorities and the museum staff in charge of the activity.

The Museo Würth La Rioja opened its doors on September 2007 and has made great strides in exhibiting, conserving, researching and providing education on the Würth collection and contemporary creations. The museum’s exhibition programme offers visitors the chance to gain first-hand experience of the various theoretical and methodological discourses at play in 20th and 21st century plastic arts. At the same time, the Museum is home to cultural and educational programming for the public, in the hopes that it will become a pluralistic space, open to the myriad expressions of contemporary culture and capable of forming a link between today’s artistic dynamics, especially in the Museum’s local surroundings.
