The Norwegian film "Sentimental Value", co-produced by Film i Väst, has won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film at this year’s Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The film received a total of nine Academy Award nominations.

Today marks the opening of the Berlin International Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale. Film i Väst has four co-productions in this year’s programme: the opening film "No Good Men", as well as "A Prayer for the Dying", "The Testament of Ann Lee" and "Lust".
