Haaga-Helia tourism students got awarded in an innovation competition arranged by Aéroports de Paris

Two tourism students from Haaga-Helia got awarded as second in an innovation competition arranged by Aéroports de Paris . ”PaxHub” team members Juha Kätkä and Christian Pauli were studying Aviation Management at The IUBH School of Business and Management in Bad Honnef, Germany. They are third year tourism students at their home university Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland.

The final organized by Aéroports de Paris took place on Thursday, June 25th, 2015 at « l’Université des Services » inside the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport.

The task was to create innovative solutions that could significantly improve the landside ground transportation within large airports by 2025–2030. The aim was to facilitate mobility between the major areas of the airport (terminals, business areas, shopping centers, car parks).

The competition was undertaken by 374 students and graduated forming 180 teams. Students came from 27 different countries with backgrounds of 38 different nationalities. There were 222 schools with 17 education fields from all over the world represented.

The teams were ranked by their creativity, feasibility, relevance and presentation. The panel was chaired by Aéroports de Paris' Board of Directors, managers and external experts.
