Two more doers joins the Hack for Earth Foundation Board

We are proud to announce that the Board of Hack for Earth Foundation is complete. Our Founder and Secretary General Ann Molin has been joined by the two amazing board members Marie Claire Maxwell and Mikael Ahlström.

The board is now complete, and we are happy to introduce:

  • Ann Molin – Founder & Secretary General

With a passion for connecting people and making things happen, she found herself in the perfect environment when she took the role as Head Project Manager of Hack for Sweden – a government mission to promote the use of open data through hackathons. After transforming Hack for Sweden from a local once-a-year event for the public sector only, to a national all year round community where all parts of society could interact, and also creating a post hackathon program supporting the winning solutions, she finally came to the conclusion that she had to do it herself.

In January 2021 Ann quit her employment in the public sector to start the Hack for Earth Foundation and dedicate herself full time as the Founder and Secretary General to creating the international platform for citizen driven innovation she has dreamed of.

  • Mikael Ahlström – Board Member

Mikael is a Swedish entrepreneur with a portfolio of a group of companies within entrepreneurship, digitalization and education. He is the founder and CEO of the co-working space The Park with 1000 members from 300 companies in Stockholm. Co-founder of SUP46, Start-Up-People of Sweden and partner at Hyper Island School of Digital Media. In retail he is involved as a partner in two start-ups Livfs and Bambuser.

He is an innovator using digitalization as the fuel for ideation and has more than twenty years of experience from working with digital projects and focusing on business development, innovation and the entrepreneurial possibilities in the industry. Mikael is a proud member of the board - and the mission - of the Hack for Earth Foundation, believing this initiative has the potential for real global change.
  • Marie Claire Maxwell – Board Member

Marie Claire is no stranger to questioning the status quo. In her teens she was an environmental activist, engaged from local to county to national level in some of the most established organizations. Her passion to explore and build new ventures led to China in her twenties, with .com to multinationals in her portfolio. Since then putting East on the startup ecosystem’s map in the Nordics has been a mission and the other way around.

She believes Hack For Earth Foundation is an amazing platform for citizens to do just that - engage. In her daily capacity you find Marie Claire at Business Sweden where she has a unique mandate to support Swedish companies in growing global sales and support international companies invest and expand in Sweden.

Our first project, Hack for Earth at the World Exhibition, Expo 2020 Dubai, is already happening and we are now recruiting and closing agreements with key partners.
