Haglöfs Earns Fair Wear Leader Status

Haglöfs has been awarded Leader status in Fair Wear’s 2025 Brand Performance Check, achieving a score of 83 points. The recognition reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening human rights due diligence and building a responsible, transparent supply chain.

“This acknowledgement from Fair Wear shows that Haglöfs’ human rights due diligence system is aligned with international standards and that improvements have been made across all key areas assessed” says Elin Eriksson, Human Rights Manager at Haglöfs. “It also gives clear direction for how the company can continue improving, focusing specifically on deeper worker engagement and representation.”

Since 2012, Haglöfs has been a member of Fair Wear, a multi-stakeholder initiative that advances workers’ rights across global supply chains. Fair Wear collaborates with over 100 member brands, local teams in key producing countries, and strategic partners to co-create worker-centred approaches that make responsible business practical and impactful.

As part of this membership, Haglöfs undergoes a Brand Performance Check evaluating key aspects of its human rights management system. The 2025 assessment shows improvements across all key areas, particularly in risk identification and the quality of prevention and remediation systems. Fair Wear also highlighted opportunities for further progress, including enhancing worker participation in action plans and integrating freedom-of-association considerations more fully into sourcing decisions.

Haglöfs leverages its Fair Wear membership to strengthen human rights due diligence in its clothing, hardware, and footwear factories, focusing on sourcing strategies, purchasing practices, risk assessments, and remediation measures. The company also invests in long-term supplier partnerships to promote stability and collaboration, while working to advance its living wage initiatives as part of its 2025–2030 sustainability strategy.

The Brand Performance Check results underscore Haglöfs’ commitment to continuous improvements, with notable progress in all assessed key areas. The Leader status affirms the company’s comprehensive approach and motivates further collaboration with suppliers, workers, and other brands to enhance conditions in partner factories.

“As a company, Haglöfs is committed to continually raising the bar,” adds Elin Eriksson. “This Leader rating motivates us to collaborate even more closely with our partners to improve conditions for workers and respect for human rights in our supply chain.”
