Haglöfs’ film festival celebrates another year of community and adventure
Presenting the 2024 Outsiders by Nature Film Festival. Now in its fourth year running, the festival continues to shine a light on Haglöfs’ community of skiers, snowboarders, climbers, and adventure athletes as they explore the depths of nature and their own limits. The festival kicks off in November, with screening events in unique locations across Europe.
“One should not underestimate the power of a couple of ski movies,” says Anders Olsson, Store Manager at Haglöfs Brand Store in Åre, who started the film festival as a local initiative in 2019. “The Outsiders by Nature Film Festival has evolved from a little hobby project to a European film tour, but our goal has remained the same: to gather like-minded people to get excited for a new ski season.”
Tickets to the festival will be sold for 60 SEK/6 Euros each. Proceeds will go to Protect Our Winters (POW), a nonprofit founded by snowboarder Jeremy Jones focused on solving the climate crisis.
“Like most outdoor activities, it’s more fun to share the experience in person with other people,” says Anders. “Coming out to watch the films together creates amazing memories. Plus, getting the chance to meet the filmmakers and athletes like Maria Granberg, Tom-Oliver Hedvall, Martin ‘Bruce’ Lundberg, and many more of our friends is so inspirational!”

We come from Sweden, a country of extreme weather and extensive landscape. A place where the outdoors isn’t just a far off place, it’s in the fabric of our culture and community. We are committed to creating gear that will support anyone, anywhere in their own outdoor adventure. We were founded in 1914 by Wiktor Haglöf, a visionary with a dream and a toolbox. Our story has evolved from humble beginnings, and we’ve ventured into new territory, creating technical designs that set a new standard in craftsmanship.
At Haglöfs, we are Outsiders by Nature. We draw outside the lines, think outside the box, and live outside our comfort zones. We encourage exploration both physically and mentally through embracing the outdoors. We believe that everyone can experience the outdoors, and do all we can to ensure that it will still be there for future generations to explore.
Haglöfs has been owned by LionRock Capital since December 2023. For more information, please visit www.haglofs.com.
