Haglöfs Launches a New Generation of Shell Gear
Updated and ready for your next adventure, Haglöfs’ shell jacket collection is durably waterproof, breathable, and now PFAS-free.
This season, Haglöfs launches a new generation of durably waterproof shell jackets featuring functional and timeless design updates. Longtime Haglöfs consumers will recognize the return of several beloved styles, each adapted to the demands of different outdoor activities. The updated range reflects Haglöfs' ongoing commitment to more responsible design and material choices—delivering trusted performance while minimizing environmental impact.
Most importantly, Fall/Winter 2025 marks the first season in which all Haglöfs' waterproof garments produced are PFAS-free.* “A journey of phasing out PFAS that began more than ten years ago, is now finally complete”, says Victor Adler, Global Business Development & Sustainability Director. At Haglöfs. “It’s been a process of learning and adaptation, with some setbacks along the way, but now even our highest performing shell products have finally fully transitioned into PFAS-free alternatives.”

Crafted to the standards set by generations of competitive freeriders, the VASSI GTX PRO collection was made to bravely seek new ground where the lifts are rare, and the conditions are unforgiving. The collection combines exceptional weatherproofing with rugged durability and light weight.

“Earlier this spring, we set out on a remote ski mission in Sarek — no lifts, no trails, just big, wild terrain and full winter conditions,” recalls Tom-Oliver. “On day three, the weather turned brutal: horizontal rain, gale force winds, and near-zero visibility. We spent hours outside fighting to save our camp from being torn apart by the wind.
“That’s where the VASSI GTX PRO really showed its value. The shell held off everything — wind, wet snow, and abrasion from ice and sharp gear. In those moments, there’s no room for compromise — and that’s where the VASSI GTX PRO really proved itself. It kept me dry and protected while crawling through snow, handling frozen gear, and reinforcing tents in chaos.”
