Up Norway Teams Up with Havila Voyages for Sustainable Luxury Land & Sea Journey on Norwegian Coast

Partnership Launches with Exclusive Eight-Day Curated Journey Combining State-of-the-Art Maritime Comfort and Immersive Norwegian Cultural Experiences.

Up Norway, the leading curator of sustainable luxury travel experiences in Norway, has launched a partnership with eco-friendly luxury cruise provider Havila Voyages. Travelers can partake in an exclusive journey combining the comfort and innovation of Havila’s ships with immersive, bespoke activities curated by Up Norway. An array of exclusive activities designed to offer a deeper connection to Norway's traditions and landscapes range from learning about traditional food customs, arctic dog sledding, the northernmost breakfast at the North Cape Plateau, and quests for the Northern Lights, to cheese-making, a fjord sauna and natural cold plunge ritual, and midnight sun picnic dinner. Dedicated to sustainable maritime travel along the Norwegian coast, Havila Voyages’ ships are equipped with the world’s largest battery packs, enabling silent and emission-free sailing through UNESCO World Heritage areas. They prioritize sourcing food from local producers, ensuring fresh and sustainable meals, aligning with Up Norway’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and environmental stewardship.

The Premium Lofoten Hop-on/Hop-off Journey is a seven or eight day adventure that takes guests from northern Norway down the west coast to Trondheim.

Aboard Havila Voyages’ ship, guests will stay in Junior Suite accommodations with private balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. In Lofoten, guests can hop off the ship to stay for two or three nights in an authentic rorbu fisherman's cottage and explore the region’s wonders through guided hikes, local food experiences, and seasonal adventures curated by Up Norway. Authentic and immersive experiences through local nature and culture, architecture, art and design await travelers at every corner with access to the local insiders.

Prices for the eight-day Premium Lofoten Hop-on/Hop-off Journey start at $7,201 USD per person. To learn more about this journey or to book your adventure, visit https://upnorway.com or contact journeys@upnorway.com.

About Havila Voyages:
Havila Voyages is a Norwegian shipping company that sails the classic coastal voyage between Bergen and Kirkenes with the Norwegian coast's most environmentally friendly ships. The four new ships are loaded with one the world's largest battery pack ever installed on passenger ships, and can sail for up to four hours without noise or emissions through vulnerable areas. The batteries are charged with clean hydropower at shore, and when the batteries are low we switch to natural gas which cuts CO2 by around 35 %.The hull is specially designed for maximum energy efficiency, and excess heat from cooling water and sea is used for heating on board. On the menu are locally made dishes from local producers, and all unnecessary plastic is avoided. We are already exceeding the authorities' requirements for cutting emission, and we have set sail with zero emissions as the future target. Havila Voyages is part of the Havila Group that dates back to the 1950s. It all started when the founder, Per Sævik, bought his first fishing boat in his teens. From fishing and herring fishing, Havila is now a group operating in shipping technology, offshore, transport and tourism.
