First podium in the Slalom for Sara Hector

Sara Hector podiums in the Slalom for the first time in her career by finishing third in Flachau on Tuesday. Four more HEAD Worldcup Rebels finish in the top ten with Anna Swenn-Larsson in fifth place, Camille Rast sixth, Dzenifera Germane eighth, and Andrine Maarstöl tenth.

"When you see how Sara Hector has moved up in the Slalom, that's really very cool. It was a fantastic result from the whole team. Camille Rast put in a brilliant performance by clocking the third fastest time on the second run. Dzenifera Germane has a super training set-up and shows huge potential,“ says HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber.

"I've been dreaming about this for so long"

Sara Hector has previously notched up two fourth places in the Slalom. Now finishing in third place, the Swedish athlete has made it into the top three in this discipline for the first time. On the first run she stopped the clock in fourth place. "That is unbelievable. I've been dreaming about this for so long. It hasn't really sunk in yet that this really happened here today. When I was at the start, I saw all the spectators and felt the superb atmosphere. It was a cool race,“ said a delighted Sara Hector at the finish.

First top ten finish for Dzenifera Germane

Anna Swenn-Larsson also asserted her good form in fifth place. On the first run Sara Hector's compatriot was in third place. Camille Rast from Switzerland finished sixth behind Anna Swenn-Larsson. Dzenifera Germane's eighth place was also an amazing result. The Latvian athlete started the event with bib number 50 and managed to achieve her first top ten result in her fourth World Cup race. Just recently, the 20-year-old finished twelfth in the Slalom in Kranjska Gora. 24-year-old Andrine Maarstöl from Norway celebrated bagging her first World Cup points by finishing in tenth place. Points were also earned by Lena Dürr from Germany in 15th place, and the two Swedish athletes Estelle Alphand in 16th place and Cornelia Öhlund in 22nd place.

    Sara Hector is back on the podium

    Following four fourth places, Sara Hector is back on the podium for the first time this season with a third place in the Giant Slalom in Lienz on Thursday. Lena Dürr finishes second in the Slalom in Lienz on Friday to secure her third podium finish. In the men's Downhill and Super-G events in Bormio, the HEAD Worldcup Rebels just missed out on the top three.

    First podium this season for Kajsa Vickhoff Lie

    Kajsa Vickhoff Lie finishes second in the Super-G in Val d'Isere on Sunday, having started with bib number 16. It is the Norwegian athlete's first podium finish this season. This second place sees her equal her previous best result in the Super-G. The HEAD Worldcup Rebels also notch up big points in both the Giant Slalom events in Alta Badia on Sunday and Monday.
