Triple victory for the HEAD Worldcup Rebels in Flachau
Camille Rast ahead of Wendy Holdener and Sara Hector - the HEAD Worldcup Rebels take over the podium at the Night Slalom in Flachau. Her second World Cup victory sees Camille Rast take back the Red Jersey in the Slalom, and take the overall lead in the World Cup. A total of six HEAD athletes in the top ten.
"Following the quadruple victory in Killington, this triple victory here in Flachau is simply sensational," is how HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber summed up the result. "Camille Rast delivered a super performance. Even though the conditions on the run were getting worse, she still hit every turn perfectly. She totally earned this victory. This is yet again proof that everything works perfectly - the team and the equipment. Our athletes stand out, especially when the conditions become more difficult on a challenging course."
Leading the Slalom World Cup and the overall World Cup
Camille Rast skied from eighth place to victory having clocked the second-fastest time on the second run - her second World Cup victory following her winning the Slalom in Killington in December. As a result, the 25-year-old Swiss athlete regained the lead in the Slalom World Cup, 60 points ahead of Wendy Holdener. And Camille Rast is also back on top of the leader board in the overall World Cup, 26 points ahead of Sara Hector. "From the start I could see the whole crowd, which was really cool. I knew that I have to be on top form. I have to ski on instinct and not think too much. That worked really well. At the start of the season, the aim was to get top-7 finishes. I've more than achieved that, which is a real joy," Camille Rast said delightedly at the finish.

First Slalom podium this season for Sara Hector
Wendy Holdener and Sara Hector completed the triple victory. It is Wendy Holdener's third second place this season after the Slalom races in Killington and Kranjska Gora. "I told myself that I had to go full speed. I thought that the deep marks were only on the first part of the run and was a bit surprised that there were also some on the second section. It was a good fight," said Wendy Holdener. Sara Hector podiumed in the Slalom for the first time this season. "That's so cool, I'm so proud. When you ski so smoothly, it feels pretty good. The snow was hard and was superb to ski," said Sara Hector.

Cornelia Öhlund clocks fastest time on run two
With Anna Swenn-Larsson from Sweden in seventh place and Emma Aicher and Lena Dürr from Germany in eighth and tenth place, a total of six HEAD World Cup Rebels finished in the top ten. Cornelia Öhlund from Sweden moved up twelve slots with the fastest time on the second run to reach twelfth place overall. World Cup points were also scored by Estelle Alphand from Sweden in 18th place and Aline Höpli from Switzerland in 24th place with bib number 49.
