Two podiums in Levi for Lena Dürr
Following Lara Gut-Behrami's victory at the opening event in Sölden, in Levi the HEAD Worldcup Rebels continue their run of success. Lena Dürr races to two podium finishes in the Slaloms: on Saturday the German athlete is second, on Sunday third. Sara Hector is now one of the elite as well, finishing in fifth and in fourth place in the two Slalom events. Both of the men's Downhill races in Zermatt/Cervinia were cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
"That was a great start to the Slalom season for us - both Lena Dürr and Sara Hector put in an awesome performance in those races. One or two athletes were still struggling a bit, but that's to be expected," says HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber. "Sara Hector's results show what she's capable of in the Slalom. Her performance is so consistent that she is well on her way to the podium. I was also very pleased that Charlotte Lingg scored World Cup points for Liechtenstein by finishing 29th on Sunday."

"I will take this momentum with me"
Lena Dürr started the second run on Saturday in second place after the first run and retained this position in the final standings. On Sunday, she finished fourth after the first run, and still made it onto the podium. "It was a perfect start. I am happy to take two podium finishes home with me from Levi. It's unbelievable what has happened here in Levi over the last three years. I will take this momentum with me," said a delighted Lena Dürr at the finish. The 32-year-old can look back on a successful series in Levi over the past three seasons: she bagged two third places in 2021, two fourth places in 2022 and a second and third place this weekend.

Sara Hector among the elite for the first time
For the first time in the Slalom, Sara Hector started with the elite group on Sunday. Finishing in fourth place, the Swedish athlete equalled her previous best World Cup result in this discipline, which she achieved at the World Cup Finals in Soldeu in March 2023. Sara Hector already had reason to celebrate on Saturday by finishing in fifth place. Two more HEAD Worldcup Rebels finished in the top 15 on Saturday: Maria Therese Tviberg from Norway was eleventh and Wendy Holdener from Switzerland finished in twelfth place. On Sunday, Wendy Holdener finished in eighth place.
