    　2022年10月9日（日）、熊本県のHSR九州で行われた全日本モトクロス選手権第5戦・九州大会で、「YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM」から「YZ250F」でIA2に参戦するジェイ・ウィルソン選手が両ヒートで優勝し、開幕から負けなしの11連勝でチャンピオンを獲得しました。ヤマハ発動機株式会社としては、2017年の渡辺祐介選手以来、5年ぶりとなるIA2のチャンピオン獲得となります。
    　2022年から「YAMAHA FACTORY RACING TEAM」に加入したウィルソン選手は、スタンダードの「YZ250F」を駆り、開幕戦のトリプルヒートで3連勝を達成すると、第2戦関東大会のヒート1では複数回の転倒を喫しながらの逆転勝利など連勝記録を伸ばし、4戦を終えて9連勝。この時点でランキング2位の浅井亮太選手（ヤマハ）に123ポイント差をつけており、第5戦の両ヒートで優勝す
