JYSK celebrates major investment in Bulgaria

Politicians, entrepreneurs and representatives from the top management of JYSK will meet in Bozhuristhe on May 30th at 2.30 pm to mark first sod for the construction of JYSK’s new distribution centre.

It is an investment of more than 100 million Euros, and just the construction process for the automation part requires 13,000 man days, while the distribution centre will create approximately 300 permanent jobs, once it is fully operational.

“Since the opening of the first store in 1979, JYSK has expanded rapidly and with more than 2,400 stores today, our distribution centres are crucial to our business. We have chosen Bozhuristhe as the location for our new distribution centee, because it matches our strategic plans for further expansion,” says Executive Vice President Logistics in JYSK, Allan K. Kjærgaard.

The location in Bozhuristhe also means that JYSK will be able to provide even better service to customers in Bulgaria, Romania and the West Balkan area.

“Within the last year JYSK has doubled the number of stores in Bulgaria, and we expect to keep expanding our business. With a new distribution centre in Bulgaria, we will be able to provide even better customer service, as we can reduce delivery time significantly. Not only towards our customers in Bulgaria, but also in Romania, Greece and all other countries in the Balkan area,” explains Country Manager for JYSK in Bulgaria, Alex Bratu.

The event to mark first sod of the construction will take place at the building site of the JYSK distribution centee in the industrial Zone Sofia-Bozhurishte Economic Zone, 2227 Bozhuristhe on May 30th 2017 at 2.30 pm.
