New X-ray inspection system for packaged food

Minebea Intec’s new X-ray inspection system Identus 80 enables not only the reliable detection of foreign bodies such as metal, glass, stone, high-density bone and dense plastics, but also comprehensive in-line quality checks. “Identus 80 was developed to enable manufacturers to carry out reliable and comprehensive product inspection directly on the production line,” says Prashanth Gowda, Product Manager at Minebea Intec India. “This helps to strengthen product safety, product quality and brand reputation in equal measure.”

High-resolution detection for demanding applications

Compared to many established solutions, the Identus 80 utilizes high-resolution detection technology with a standard resolution of 0.4 mm. “The high image quality enables the reliable detection of even very small foreign bodies, thereby supporting precise quality assurance even for products with complex structures such as desserts, salad mixes or ready meals,” says Prashanth Gowda. “This increases process reliability and helps manufacturers ensure consistently high product quality for an excellent value for money.”
