Press release -

Cyber security awareness company Nimblr accelerates its international expansion with Monterro.

Monterro, the leading B2B software investor in the Nordics, announces it has completed an investment in Nimblr, a rapidly growing Swedish SaaS company. Nimblr provides a platform designed to help organizations combat the ever-increasing threat of cyberattacks through enhanced security awareness.

"We are very impressed by Nimblr and what the team has accomplished during the first three years,” says Thomas Bill Revland, co-founder of Monterro and new Chairman of the board at Nimblr. “They have discovered a distinct product-market fit in an expanding market space. We see a significant potential for further growth and are eager to support Nimbler and the team in their journey ahead.”

As more than half of all IT incidents in an organization are caused by employees, Nimblr has designed and developed a security awareness platform that helps businesses secure their most vulnerable point: employees’ emails. The platform effectively raises users' security awareness through training, simulation, and screening. Nimblr's intelligent algorithm prioritizes and distributes simulated attacks according to user-specific schedules, and the level of difficulty gradually increases as the user learns to recognize and avoid specific types of attacks.

Nimblr, founded in Malmö in 2020, has since experienced rapid growth. Its highly appreciated, intelligent, and easy-to-use platform is now utilized by more than 2,500 customers in the Nordics. Nimblr is now ready to take the next step in further developing its solutions and expanding across Europe.

”Monterro is the perfect partner for us,” says Andreas Dahlén Berglund, CEO of Nimblr. “The team’s expertise and experience in scaling software businesses will be invaluable. Our journey has just started and we are confident that our partnership will push us forward, and support our growth.”

Monterro acquires a majority of the shares, and the founders and management team at Nimblr will remain large minority owners.
