Monterro acquires top-ranked digital workplace software provider Omnia from Precio Fishbone.

Monterro, the leading B2B software investor in the Nordics, has completed an acquisition of Omnia from publicly listed Precio Fishbone. Omnia is a leading provider of cloud-based digital workplace software designed to improve employee experiences for mid to large organizations. The acquisition will enable Omnia to increase its focus on providing a world-leading solution, and scale across Europe and North America. Precio Fishbone will remain as minority shareholder in Omnia with 19.9% of the shares.

"This partnership is a perfect match for us”, says Peter Larsson, co-founder of Monterro and new chairman of Omnia. ”Our mission is to support Nordic B2B software companies and enable them to become global players. Through further focus and investments, we are convinced Omnia will grow significantly and emerge as a leading player in the global digital workplace market.”

Omnia was launched by Precio Fishbone in 2016 and has quickly become a top-rated comprehensive, user-friendly and high-value intranet platform. The solution enhances internal communication, collaboration and knowledge management within organizations. Today, Omnia has a loyal, diversified and growing customer base of approx. 300 customers such as IKEA Industry, Ipsos, Electrolux, and Toyota, with more than 1,100,000 daily users. The software solution is tightly integrated with the Microsoft ecosystem.

As Omnia now becomes an independent SaaS company with a strong complementary professional services offering, it can unlock its full potential and focus on further developing the platform, while accelerating growth across Europe and North America.

”Omnia has a state-of-the-art solution, long history of profitable growth, highly satisfied customers, and strong international growth momentum. We are very excited to support the company on its growth journey ahead”, says Peter Larsson.

"We are very pleased to have found an investor like Monterro”, says Christer Johansson, CEO of Precio Fishbone. ”They have an extensive track record in helping software companies to grow and expand. The acquisition by Monterro brings continued focus, and commitment to Omnia’s core mission – developing a market-leading platform that delivers outstanding employee experiences.”

19.9% of the shares in Omnia will remain within Precio Fishbone, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm First North Premier Growth Market. Monterro and Precio Fishbone have undertaken to contribute up to SEK 25 million to support Omnia’s expansion.
