Telaris elevates growth ambitions - partners with Monterro
Norwegian software company Telaris is set to realize an ambitious growth plan by partnering with Monterro, the leading software growth investor in the Nordics.
Since its inception in 2012, Telaris has developed and offered a business platform (ERP solution). With this partnership, Telaris aims to strengthen its product and accelerate growth through a capital infusion and expertise. The management will continue as before but will now leverage resources and expertise from Monterro’s team, which has extensive experience in building and supporting similar software companies. Additionally, Telaris gains access to an extensive network and significant expansion capital to fuel growth. The plan includes expanding in Norway, followed by neighboring Nordic countries.
Telaris is the third Norwegian software company in which Monterro has invested. Monterro, headquartered in Stockholm, also has an office in Oslo. The company will own two-thirds of the shares in Telaris.
Strong in three segments
The company's software solution is tailored for small and medium-sized companies in warehousing and logistics, sales and service, and product assembly and production.
Telaris has 23 employees, with headquarters in Kristiansand and an office in Oslo. Most of its customers are in Norway, with a handful in Sweden. Clients include Askeladden, Tredal, Skanbatt, Mitsubishi, and AutoMateriell. Telaris has grown significantly over the past three years and still sees great growth opportunities. The organization will continue to develop to elevate the company to the next level.
Customers report that they appreciate Telaris because:
- The solution is flexible in use and scope, offering several modules.
- Other business support systems can be seamlessly integrated with Telaris.
- The relationship between functionality, flexibility, and price is consistent.
- Alternative solutions are often too simple or too expensive for companies in Telaris’s market segment.
High customer satisfaction
“Monterro specializes in developing B2B software companies. They exclusively focus on this segment and have a large number of experienced and competent people from whom we will benefit,” says Espen Tungesvik, CEO of Telaris.
He reports that the new owner wants to facilitate Telaris in continuing its successful strategies. He looks forward to working closely with highly competent resources on the board, all of whom have experience from senior positions in similar companies and work closely with the management teams of the companies they invest in. Furthermore, they can draw on additional expertise in areas such as sales, product development, finance, and AI within the Monterro team.
“Telaris has a great product, highly satisfied customers, good management, and a competent organization. We will build on that to realize the company's potential through more effective marketing, sales, and support. Telaris challenges the major players in the market and succeeds because they are quick, flexible, and accessible,” says Kim Sneum Madsen from Monterro, who will become the company's chairman of the board.
Long-term sparring partner
Monterro is an active investor with 15 billion NOK in assets under management, 25 percent of which comes from its own employees. It specializes in B2B software companies. In Norway, Monterro has previously invested in Bliksund and Milient and continuously seeks new investment opportunities in solid companies with development potential.
“We are primarily majority owners in the companies we invest in. Our goal is to support entrepreneurs with experience and capital to realize their growth ambitions, both domestically and abroad,” says Sneum Madsen.
