Swedish company Plantagon in the finals for the Red Herring Top 100 Global Award

LOS ANGELES, November 29, 2012 - The Swedish company Plantagon, creator of the Plantagon Greenhouse for urban agriculture, is in the finals for the Red Herring Top 100 Global Award.

In Los Angeles representing Plantagon in the final stage of judging – a live presentation at the Red Herring Global Forum on November 27-29 – are Mr. Shrikant Ramakrishnan, Area Manager for Plantagon in Asia, Africa and India, and Tadodaho Sidney Hill, Six Nations Confederacy, Onondaga Nation, representing Plantagon's Board and owners, the Onondaga Nation.

The formal announcement of the winners will occur at a special award dinner on November 29 in Los Angeles.

Plantagon has recently been acknowledged by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce N.Y. 2012 Deloitte Green Award - The Silver Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company in Europe 2012 - The CEO of the Year Award Sweden 2012, by European CEO - Winner of the 2011 Red Herring Top 100 Europe.

Plantagon wins Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce New York-Deloitte Green Award 2012

The Swedish-American company Plantagon was awarded the 2012 SACC New York-Deloitte Green Award for their breakthrough green innovation within the food chain, the Plantagon Vertical Greenhouse. The award was presented by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden at a Royal Gala Award Dinner on October 3 in New York. Representing Plantagon were CEO Hans Hassle and Chairman Professor Oren R. Plantagon signs memorandum of understanding with the Tongji University in Shanghai

In warm remembrance of Chief Virgil Thomas

Today we took some time off at the Plantagon office to remember a fine, warm and greatly missed friend - the late Chief Virgil E. Thomas - Board Member and co-founder of Plantagon International. Our thoughts go to Chief Thomas' family and to the Onondaga Nation that lost one of its greatest leaders. Chief Thomas, age 73, chief of the Onondaga Turtle Clan, passed away November 9, 2014.
