Radonova often gives students the opportunity to carry out various types of internship work on site in Uppsala, Sweden. As part of his degree in nuclear technology at the CNAM school in Paris, Thomas Gumusel spent two months studying at Radonova.
Throughout the year, Radonova participates in several international conferences and events where radon is at the top of the agenda. In April, our development engineer Patrik Starck had the opportunity to present Radonova's studies about follow-up workplace measurements at CARST 2023 (Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists).
Since the radon logger SPIRIT was launched just over a year ago, several of Sweden's radon consultants have started using the instrument when measuring both in schools and at other workplaces. Among these is Elias Flink at SoVent Group. We have met Elias, who tells us how SPIRIT makes a difference and simplifies the work with radon measurement in a school environment.
In mid-March, Radonova had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Aaron Goodarzi to the Swedish Radon Day and our facilities in Uppsala, Sweden. Dr. Goodarzi is an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary in Canada and Lead of Science Communication and Outreach at the Annie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. He has led several of the world's largest and most comprehensive studies in the field of radon.

The cost of radon measurement in the workplace usually lies in the amount of time it takes for deployment and collection of the radon detectors. Therefore, like in many other situations, it pays to do it correctly from the start. If not, hiring radon consultants for remeasurements can be costly.
