Radonova Relocates North American Headquarters to Accommodate Growth

Radonova – the global leader in radon measurement, has relocated from their Westmont, Illinois address to just 5 miles up the road to Lombard, Illinois as part of a long-term growth plan. The new facility more than doubles their capacity to sell and process radon tests and measurements in the United States and Canada.

The new office, located at 1 East 22nd Street, Suite 200 in Lombard, Illinois offers space for additional inventory and future expansion. “We had been in our old office location for 6 years and were outgrowing the space,” says Radonova, Inc. Operations Manager Steve Leslie. “The move enables us to update our technology, expand our shipping capabilities, and continue to fulfill our radon detector orders.” Change of address announcements have been sent to all US and Canadian customers that have affected radon detectors currently deployed.

Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers and the #2 cause of lung cancer nationwide. It is an odorless, colorless gas that forms when the uranium in the natural stone or bedrock beneath a home or building decays. The gas decays into harmful radioactive atoms that get caught in your lungs when you breathe. In addition to lung cancer, radon has been linked to asthma, diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and other illnesses.

“With more people working from home, testing for radon has become a top priority,” says Zan Jones, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Radonova, Inc. “It is easy to test for radon to determine if you are being exposed to high levels and then install a radon reduction system if necessary.”

A fast, 2 to 4 day, radon screening can be done with the Radonova QuickScreen charcoal test. For a more precise short-term test, the Rapidos 10 to 90 day alpha track detector is available. The most accurate alpha track radon detector is the long-term Radtrak3, a 90 days to 1 year test. These detectors are used in homes, apartments, schools, daycare centers, office buildings, or any facility where radon needs to be measured.

Radon professionals can employee Radonova’s easy-to-use radon instruments and sensors for pre-construction ground testing, radon monitoring and measurement, and fixed installation applications. Radonova personal dosimeters and dosimetry services can be used in workplaces, such as mines and underground facilities, where radon levels are high. This enables workplaces to measure individual radon exposure for each employee and their accumulated annual exposure.

Radonova is the laboratory of choice for numerous government radon surveys, as well as other public, and private sector large-scale measurement contracts around the world. A truly global laboratory, Radonova is active in over 50 countries and has performed millions of measurements.
