    International Inferno-Races 2022: Competitive sports stand in the foreground

    The 78th International Inferno Races from 19 - 22 January 2022 have been approved. However, due to the current situation surrounding COVID-19, the programme will be adjusted slightly. The focus will be on the sports competitions. In particular, the supporting programme since the planned festivities will be limited.

    All 1850 entry slots for the downhill contest at the 78th International Inferno Races from 19th – 22nd January 2022 have sold out. Several former winners will be vying for repeat victory amid fierce competition from home and abroad. Staging the event will require prior sanitary approval by the District Governor's Office in Interlaken.

    OUTLOOK 78th INTERNATIONAL INFERNO-RACES 2022

    The 78th International Inferno Races will take place from 19th – 22nd January 2022. Online registration for the races is open. Bernhard Spörri joins the Organising Committee (OC) as Vice President. In addition, Migros SportxX will now support the event as Presenting Partner.

    78th INTERNATIONAL INFERNO RACES 2021 CANCELLED

    The International Inferno Races from 20th – 23rd January 2021 have been cancelled. The restrictions for major events that have been put in place by the authorities due to Covid-19 means the races cannot be held. A postponement is not planned. The entry fees will be 100 percent refunded.

    78TH INFERNO-RACES 2021 WITH A STRONG INTERNATIONAL FIELD SOLD OUT

    The 78th International Inferno-Races from January 20th -23rd 2021 are now sold out. Around 300 more competitors have registered for the downhill race than the maximum number of participants allowed. Numerous top ski racers from Switzerland and abroad will be in the starting gate.

    INTERNATIONAL INFERNO RACES 2021: PLAN B IN RESERVE

    The Swiss Government announced that events with more than 1,000 people will be permitted to resume from the beginning of October. This ruling means that the Inferno Races from 20 – 23 January 2021 may go ahead as usual. Nonetheless, the organising committee has considered all eventualities and drawn up a Plan B. Entry fees will be reimbursed in full if the event has to be cancelled.
