Shortcut Labs announces commencement of shipping for the Flic Twist.
Shortcut Labs AB, the company behind Flic, the world leader in smart buttons, is excited to announce that the highly anticipated Flic Twist and Hub mini, their newest innovations, has started shipping.
About Flic Twist
Flic Twist is a one of a kind Smart Home controller that allows complete customisation and control of Smart Home devices like never before. Taking the concept of Smart Buttons to the next level, this wireless controller is easy to use for everyone in the family while it includes advanced features that allow seamless set up of different scenes and modes.
About Flic Hub Mini
This new smart home hub, adding to the existing family of hubs from Flic is a tiny yet powerful computer that takes your controllers' input to create magic with your smart home devices. The optimised long-range communication works on distances of up to 50m (150ft), and has an ultrafast latency of less than 0.1 seconds.
A Kickstarter success
Following the footsteps of Flic 1, Flic Hub and Flic 2 that were funded entirely through crowdfunding campaigns, Flic Twist was also backed through a remarkably successful Kickstarter & Indiegogo campaign, raising a total of $1M while the whole project was fully funded in just 4 minutes. Even while still in development, the Flic Twist was last year awarded the accolade of ‘CES Innovation Honoree.
Features
The Flic Twist is now launched with many available features and integrations, and even more to come. Among these are notable mentions such as Philips Hue, Sonos, IKEA Dirigera, LIFX… However some key integrations are yet to be implemented, like Matter which in itself would allow for interconnectivity with any Matter enabled device. Matter will be released as a software update to all Flic Hub owners with an expected release around the end of 2023.
Shipping Begins
The newly released Flic Twist is now shipping to Backers followed by pre-orders. The Flic Twist is available for purchase in 3 colors; White, Black and the limited edition black/white.
