Simona Severini with Fedra Trio in concert in an architectural jewel in Stockholm

500 years moving across the history of music, embracing airs from Monteverdi to Lucio Dalla, from Duke Ellington to Nick Drake, all revisited through the interpretation of the Italian Fedra Trio.

On the 30th of August, at 6 p.m., the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm will host a concert by Simona Severini as part of the Fedra Trio, alternating moments of improvisation, arias and minimal arrangements. It will be the first event after the summer break and the pandemic interruption. The performance will provide a rare glimpse into one of Stockholm´s most impressive spaces, designed in the ´50s by architect Gio Ponti and with entirely original interiors which include rare prototypes and unique pieces, shown now for the first time after a recent renovation.

Fedra Trio, formed by Simona Severini (guitar and voice), Daniele Richiedei (violin and viola) and Giulio Corini (double bass), presents a repertoire that spans between jazz and ancient music. The three musicians will also offer few songs composed by Severini herself, being her a refined interpreter along with a singer-songwriter.
