Power Woman Readies for International Growth with New E-com Platform
Swedish premium sportswear brand Power Woman had its sights set on international expansion right from the start. Today, the brand's limited collections are selling out quickly and the company is experiencing a clear demand from athletes and influencers around the world. This demand is now ready to be met thanks to newly acquired expertise, greatly improved production and logistics processes, as well as a modern e-commerce platform.
– We are definitely on fire right now, with lots of great things happening at once. Our team was recently strengthened with several leading industry experts, and our foundation is in place for moving further into international markets. The truth is that the slow-moving Swedish market has never been our end destination, says Power Woman founder Anna Wretling.
Being bold and pushing boundaries are more than empty words for the founder of Power Woman – an entrepreneur and mother of two who has completed several of the world's most extreme triathlon races.
And though Anna Wretling is seriously bothered by the fact that less than 1% of Swedish venture capital is awarded to female entrepreneurs, Power Woman is doing exceedingly well. The brand's international growth effort is now partly funded. Other than the recent additions to the team and other improvements, the company has launched a modern e-commerce platform that is ready for international reach.
– Any technical limits for growing internationally are out of the equation thanks to our new online platform, based on Magento 2 as a single-page application. This will give our users a smooth and fast experience, while tying in perfectly with our business model, says Anna Wretling, who continues:
– Power Woman's product line is perfectly suited for global reach and growth using e-commerce as the primary driver. With our new platform, we are more than ready to take this step. We update our collections often and our broad product range means that we are not particularly season-dependent. Our delivery model is actually rather linear.
Power Woman creates its new collections from the ground up, starting one year ahead of each launch. This allows the brand to build awareness and momentum ahead of new releases. With a flexible technical platform in place, the company can also shift its focus to international branding efforts.
– Our goal is to empower women across borders, and all the technical tools are now in place for us to reach that goal. And we will, adds Anna Wretling.
