Welcoming Susanna Backman as our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Co-Founder!
We’re excited to share that Susanna Backman is building ReCarber with us as Co-Founder & CCO, leading our commercial strategy as we scale high-integrity carbon removals across the Nordics and beyond.
Susanna brings a rare blend of brand-building, customer-centric growth, and venture experience. Before ReCarber, she co-founded Studio Sibling, and earlier spent several years at PwC Sweden, where she led experience and consulting initiatives, including work at the Experience Center Stockholm. Her career has consistently sat at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution—turning complex offerings into clear, compelling products and partnerships.
Alongside ReCarber, Susanna also contributes as a Board Member at IHM Business School and a Founding Board Member at VetAtHome, reflecting her long-term commitment to building organisations that last.
At ReCarber, we’re focused on making BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage) real—projects with enormous potential, but where success depends on trust, transparency, and strong commercial partnerships across the value chain.
With Susanna onboard, we’re strengthening our ability to build that ecosystem—bringing the market together, aligning stakeholders, and accelerating real climate impact.
