When Martin Lönnebo introduced The Pearls of Life (Frälsarkransen) in 1995, nobody could predict how it would spread over the world, how beloved it would become, how much it would be put to use.

For the 20th anniversary of the prayer garland Johan Dalman, who for many years has used the garland to pray and meditate, has written Pearls of Life.

Each one of the eighteen beads has a task: to help us find a way. They remind us of love, night, baptism… and of our secrets and a new life.

Johan Dalman, PhD, has recently been elected bishop of the diocese of Strängnäs. He is the former dean of Strängnäs and Secretary of Theology and Ecumenism in the Church of Sweden.
Martin Lönnebo created the Pearls of Life prayer garland 20 years ago and is the former bishop of the diocese of Linköping. In this book he tells the story of the garland in an interview.
Thomas Lerner is a reporter at Dagens Nyheter, the largest daily newspaper in Sweden, and has written two biographies of Martin Lönnebo.
Ann Lagerström is a freelance journalist and the author of several books.
