VIP Guests Tours the Nerve Centre of Nanjing 2014 YOG

Atos hosted a private tour of the Technology Operations Centre (TOC) - mission control for the Nanjing 2014 YOG - for clients in APAC. Amongst the VIP guests were Mr Brian Lai, CIO, Sports Singapore; Mr Patrick Lee, Games Operations Singapore SEA Games Organizing Committee Sports Singapore; Ms Pattaya Dhapayuthapicharn, Director Information Technology Operation Division, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Mr Leung Kin Man, Chief Information & Operations Officer, China CITIC Bank International Limited; Mr Francis Bong, Senior Consultant, Information, Communications & Technology Division, Strategic & Financial Management Group, and Ms Eppie Leung Yuk Chun.

Not only were the guests able to get up close to the live actions like never before, they also experienced first hand the behind-the-scenes technologies that power performance at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. Watching how Atos Business Technologists performed in such a critical and high-pressure environment would have inspired confidence in Atos' ability to deliver complex projects for their respective industries and markets with the same success we plan to achieve at the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.

    Atos has supported the NYOGOC in the recruitment of the 18,000 volunteers (103,000 applications were processed).  As part of the Games Management Systems, the volunteer systems facilitated the recruitment and management of volunteers, who will help make the Games run as smoothly as possible and extend local hospitality to visitors.
