Singapore Welcomes the Koalas using Accoya Wood for their Abode

As Singapore celebrates its 50th Anniversary of Independence this year, it also marks as the 50 years of Australia-Singapore diplomatic relations. Along with this, Australia opens a Koala exhibit located at Singapore Zoo. This will be the new home of four furry Koala ambassadors: Paddle, Chan, Pellita and Idalia.

To ensure the Koala's safety and to have an easy transition and adoption for their new home here in Singapore, located at Singapore Zoo, management created an enclosure of for the Koalas, built especially for them. And it's got all the best technology, too.

Every resources used to construct their new home here is Singapore was carefully selected and examined very well that it must be safe and will not harm the Koalas as well as our environment.

The walk-through exhibit is just perfectly crafted to keep them comfortable as well as the visitors, the guests suitably immersed. It's made to look and feel just like the Australian Zone, where the Koalas originally come from, so all can have an authentic experience.

Looking more into their abode, it's pleasantly roomy, with 210m² of space. Although it's indoors, the management makes sure that it has the Koalas' favourite trees are all in and a computer -regulated climate control system that makes sure the temperature and humidity doesn’t ruin their beautiful furs.

The cladding for Koalas' habitat was chosen to be as Accoya Wood - the first natural wood to have the highest number of sustainable Eco labels in the world. Known to be durable and visually stunning, Accoya does not contain any harmful materials that can affect the living animals in their habitat as well as helping sustainability to the environment.
