As Gastronord 2024 kicked off with a press conference on Tuesday morning, it did so with a strong focus on the future, sustainability, skills development, and industry advancement. Additionally, they announced the significant news that Gastronord, previously held biennial, will now become an annual event due to high demand from industry professionals.
Being knowledgeable about drinks can have a larger impact on profitability than the VAT reduction in the restaurant industry. Therefore, the beverage trade fair, Vinordic, which will be held May 6-9, will further develop its Vinordic School concept in order to be able to provide the tools that are needed for improved profitability behind the bar.
Week 17 sees the main event of the year within the hotel, restaurant and catering industry, when GastroNord (24-27 April) and Vinordic (25-27 April) are held at Stockholmsmässan. This year’s fairs will attract the culinary élite from Sweden, Finland and Norway. There will also be all manner of new features, including the new Chef of the Year area.
This year's Mitt kök culinary exhibition broke several records; it was larger than ever before, with more competitions, and more exhibitors, journalists, visitors and personalities from the food and beverage world. A total of 36,880 'foodies' visited the exhibition.
