    Amanda Kernell’s Brace Your Heart will have its European premiere in main competition at this year's San Sebastián International Film Festival, following the film’s recent world premiere in Toronto. Angelica Ruffier’s La Belle Année also features in the festival’s competitive section Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, while Jon Holmberg’s Super Charlie is screening at the festival in a Basque-dubbed version.

  • Adult Supervision Is Sweden’s Oscar Submission

    Alex Schulman’s Adult Supervision, starring Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren, has been selected as Sweden’s official submission for the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards, the Swedish Film Institute’s Oscar Committee announced today at Filmhuset in Stockholm.

  • Sweden’s Oscar Submission: Three Finalists

    The Swedish Film Institute’s Oscar Committee has selected three finalists for Sweden’s official submission to the Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category: Adult Supervision by Alex Schulman, Brace Your Heart by Amanda Kernell and Bloody Men by Jens Sjögren.

  • An evening with Liv Ullmann at Cinemateket

    On Wednesday, April 8, Norwegian actor and director Liv Ullmann will visit Cinemateket at Filmhuset for a conversation with Jan Göransson, Head of Press at the Swedish Film Institute. Following the talk, there will be a screening of the acclaimed film Faithless (2000), directed by Liv Ullmann from a screenplay by Ingmar Bergman.
