Morrisons opens up beef supply chain to help farmers transitioning to Arla UK 360 standard

In an industry first, Morrisons is to allow bull calves from its dairy suppliers participating in the Arla UK 360 programme into its beef supply chain. Dairy farmers supported by Morrisons to participate in Arla UK 360, will also be able to sell bull and beef calves into the calf rearing units of Buitelaar Production, Morrisons beef rearing partners.

Arla Foods amba’s on account price for conventional and organic milk for July 2019 will remain unchanged. However, this month it will be negatively impacted by a slight quarterly currency smoothing adjustment of 0.01 pence per litre.

Arla Foods amba’s on account price for conventional and organic milk for June 2019 will remain unchanged, meaning Arla’s farmer-owners will continue to receive 30.23 pence for a UK manufacturing litre for conventional milk and 41.98 pence per litre for organic milk.
