  • Arla® Big Milk: launch of UK’s first fresh milk enriched with essential nutrients

    Arla Foods, the farmer-owned dairy company, today unveiled Arla Big Milk, the UK’s first fresh milk enriched with essential nutrients to help support children’s growth and development, as part of their balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Arla Big Milk has been developed to specifically meet the needs of children from ages one to five, made with 100 per cent British whole cows’ milk.

  • Arla Foods amba to increase its April milk price

    Arla Foods amba is raising its on-account price from 30 March by 1.5 eurocents. Sterling has continued to strengthen and April sees a new quarter’s (January to March) average exchange rate being introduced to the pricing mechanism. When the impact of the currency smoothing mechanism is taken into account, this raises the UK standard litre by 0.83 pence, taking it to 25.8 pence.

    Arla Foods, the farmer-owned dairy company, has been awarded the 2014 Supplier Award for Collaborative Working by food retailer Waitrose. A close working partnership with Waitrose’s internal team, improving working practices, fostering a strong innovation pipeline (leveraging ASIC), and supplying products of market-leading quality helped Arla to support Waitrose’s overall market performance.

  • Arla Foods amba maintains milk price in February

    The Arla Foods amba on-account price will remain unchanged in February 2015. There is, however, a small , positive, adjustment to the 2015 forecasted 13th payment which equates to a 0.06ppl increase, raising the UK standard litre price to 24.87 pence.

  • Arla Foods Ingredients to offer lactose in Global Dairy Trade auction

    Arla Foods Ingredients is set to sell lactose ingredients through the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) online auction platform for the first time as part of its bid to become the world’s leading lactose supplier. Arla Foods Ingredients intends to start selling lactose via GDT from 15 April 2015.
