Arla Foods, the farmer-owned dairy company, is unveiling the latest phase of its multi-million pound campaign that has seen it start to build value in its healthier product portfolio to households across the UK. This phase will focus on driving further awareness of its farmer-owned status by a nationwide marketing campaign centring on a new TV advertisement.
The UK’s number one dairy company, Arla Foods, is supporting its farmer owners by encouraging consumers, as well as colleagues from across the company, to take part in Open Farm Sunday. On 7 June, more than 40 Arla farmer owners across the UK will be opening their farms for consumers to bring to life the passion and dedication that is involved in dairy farming.
After increasing its milk price by 1.5 eurocent per kg in April and maintaining the price into May, the Arla Foods amba on account price will reduce by one eurocent per kg with effect from 25 May 2015. When applied to the UK standard litre, the impact will be a reduction of 0.84 pence taking it to 24.99 pence.
Arla Foods and the Egypt-based dairy company Juhayna have agreed to form a joint venture which will sell Arla’s products across Egypt. Juhayna Food Industries is Egypt’s leading manufacturer of UHT-milk, yoghurt and juice. However, the company has a very limited production of butter, cheese and cream, which Arla has specialised in across the Middle East and Africa.
