Warning:  Road closure at Angouleme Way between Manchester Road and Knowsley Street

Ongoing issues and damage caused by four burst water mains mean Angouleme Way between Manchester Road and Knowsley Street must be closed to allow United Utilities to carry out repair and reinstatement works. The closure (in both directions) will come into effect from Tuesday 3 March.

The carriageway is expected to remain closed in both directions for 2-3 weeks and a diversion will be in place directing traffic around Jubilee Way, Peel Way, Derby Way and Rochdale Road.

If you must travel, please plan ahead and make more time for your journey.

The drop-off point for those attending an appointment for a covid-19 vaccination is the corner of Knowsley Street.
