Baby Basics donations at Ramsbottom Library

Press release -

Baby Basics donations at Ramsbottom Library

Donations are now being taken at Ramsbottom Library from people keen to help young mums.

New and second-hand clothes can be left for newborns and those aged up to three months in the new Baby Basics donation bin, along with new ‘first size’ nappies, baby wipes, lotion, soap, shampoo, towels, blankets and much more.

Baby Basics is a volunteer-led project supporting new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical needs of looking after a new baby.

Items that mums require are maternity pads, breast pads, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste (for labour bags).

Knitted and crocheted items are also welcome, and, if you can sew, quilted blankets for Moses baskets will be gratefully received.

Donations can be made during the library’s opening hours: Monday and Thursday (9.30am to 7.30pm), Tuesday and Friday (9.30am to 5.30pm) and Saturday (9.30am to 1pm).

For more information, call Ramsbottom Library on 0161 253 5352.
