Budget cuts and children’s centres at Prestwich Township Forum

A packed agenda awaits residents who attend the next Prestwich Township Forum which meets on Wednesday 12 November.

Residents are invited to hear a report from Bury Council finance chiefs about plans to make major cuts in the 2015/16 budget.

Also on the agenda is a presentation about plans to reshape children’s centres and on how people can make their views known.

There will also be updates from the police and on funding for local groups, and on the Draft Township Area Plan.

The meeting is at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich and starts at 6.30pm, and will feature the usual open forum and public question time.

Councillor Paddy Heneghan, forum chair, said: "We are pleased that many service providers are using the township forums as a catalyst to inform our communities. We have two presentations this month on very important issues affecting residents and hope that many of you will attend to find out more during this consultation period."
