Budget road show at the township forum

Press release -

Budget road show at the township forum

Bury Council will bring a budget road show to the first 2017 meeting of Prestwich Township Forum on Thursday 12 January.

The council is proposing to make cuts of £32 million over the next three years, and wants to hear the public’s views before setting the budget in February.

The forum will meet at the Longfield Suite in Prestwich, starting at 6.30pm.

Also on the agenda is a presentation from Persona Care and Support, the new organisation which provides adult social care across the borough. It wants local people to join a ‘stakeholder forum’ and have their say in drawing up priorities and on how services can be best provided.

There will also be updates on the Town Plan, on neighbourhood working, and from the local police.

Residents are also invited to attend the regular PACT (Police And Communities Together) meeting, which starts before the forum at 5.30pm.

For more details, call forum co-ordinator Ruth Shedwick on 0161 253 5327 or email r.shedwick@bury.gov.uk
