Build A Business at Bury Library

Three more sessions to help people start and grow their own businesses will be held in June at Bury Library.

Build A Business is a project funded by the ERDF, and is aimed at anyone thinking of starting their own business or those already trading in their first year of business.

More than 185 people attended the 15 workshops that have already taken place in Bury Library.

The latest free workshops are as follows:

  • Know your market, get competitive - Tuesday 13 June (10am-1pm).Giving valuable insights into unlocking the Business & IP Centre Manchester’s £5 million collection of UK and global business databases (including market research and company and financial information) to assess market potential and help your business.
  • Power up your business - Wed 14 June (9.30am-4.30pm, with a free lunch). Join Wendy Breakell, entrepreneur and named one of the top 50 business advisors in the North West, for this workshop covering the practicalities of starting and growing your business. This workshop covers the essential ‘nuts and bolts’ of starting up and running a successful enterprise.
  • Intellectual property - Thurs 15 June (10am-1pm). Make sure your product, service, website and brand are protected from would-be copycats or do not infringe others’ rights.

Through these workshops, events, one-to-one help and advice sessions, the library service’s SME (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) Champion will be offering tailored help to support new businesses and entrepreneurs.
