Celebrate author Alan Bennett – at an ‘audience without’ him!

Bury Library will be participating in a national event on Wednesday 30 November to celebrate the publication of Alan Bennett’s new book ‘Keeping On Keeping On’.

This is an interactive ‘Audience without Alan Bennett’, when library members and invited guests will gather to hear readings of selected diary entries and short sections from his new book.

The event is at Bury Library on Wednesday 30 November from 7.30pm to 9pm.

‘Keeping On Keeping On’ contains ten years’ worth of diary entries and previously unpublished material. Some members of the audience will participate in this interactive event, along with a narrator and an actor, and a series of videos featuring Alan Bennett.

Audience members are invited to bring along non-valuable items associated with the theme of ‘Keeping On Keeping On’ to contribute to the library’s display and join in a quiz with a prize provided by Profile Books.

The event is free, but tickets must be booked: call 0161 253 5872 or visit our Eventbrite page for tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/an-audience-without-alan-bennett-tickets-28652600700
