Celebrate Bury’s sporting heroes and heroines

Nominations are being sought for Bury’s annual celebration of sporting excellence, the Bury 2017 Sports Awards.

Nominations open on 1 June 2017 and close on 31 July 2017, leaving plenty of time to nominate local people or groups for an award, in the following categories:

• Volunteer of the year
• Coach of the year
• Sports achiever of the year
• Disabled achiever of the year
• Community Club of the year
• Unsung hero of the year
• Changing lifestyle recognition award
• Education award
• ‘I Will If You Will’ Sporting Female of the Year award

The winners will be presented with their awards by the Mayor of Bury at a special event and will go forward to represent Bury at the Greater Manchester Awards on Friday 17 November at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford.
