Elmer Day at Bury libraries - Saturday 27 May

Elmer Day was so much fun last year that we have decided to celebrate it again this year!

If you enjoy reading stories and love Elmer the Elephant’s adventures, then help us celebrate this very special day. Bury libraries will be holding Elmer story times with craft sessions, plus an Elmer colouring competition and Elmer Hide and Seek.

Bury Library (0161 253 5872)

  • Elmer Story Time and Crafts on Saturday 27 May, from 2pm to 4pm. Donations welcome.

Prestwich Library (0161 253 7214)

  • Elmer Story Time and Crafts on Saturday 27 May, from 10.30am to noon. Cost: £1 per child

Radcliffe Library (0161 253 7160)

  • Free Elmer colouring competition for under-7s. Pick up an entry form at Radcliffe Library from Saturday 20 May and hand it in before Saturday 27 May. A small prize will be given to the best Elmer pattern!

  • Elmer Hide and Seek on Saturday 27th May. The first children to find Elmer and his friends hiding in Radcliffe Library will receive a special Elmer sticker.

Ramsbottom Library (0161 253 5352)

  • Free Elmer colouring competition for under-7s. Pick up an entry form at Ramsbottom Library from Saturday 20 May and hand it in before Saturday 27 May. A small prize will be given to the best Elmer pattern!

  • Or pop in any time on Saturday 27 May and take part in an Elmer Treasure Hunt or make an Elmer Mask at the craft table. Any monetary or craft donations will be used for future craft activities.

Tottington Library (0161 253 6652)

  • Elmer Story Time on Saturday 27 May for those aged 3 to 6. Time: 10–10.30am, £1 per child)
  • Elmer Craft Session on Saturday 27 May for those aged 5 to 7. Time: 11-11.45am, £2 per child)

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at these activities.
