Press release -

Elms Bank students are in the market

Students at Elms Bank Specialist Arts College experienced what it is like to run a stall at Bury’s famous market.

They sold off items they had made in school during a project relating to ‘work’ and ‘enterprise’, with help from organisations such as Rathbones, the Job Centre, Asda, Spearfish and Chris Deakin media.

The students were Josh Kearsley, Nicole Crompton, Andrew Worrall, Callum Williams and Luke Clarke.

James Brown, teacher at Elms Bank, said: “The students thoroughly enjoyed their day on Bury’s famous market, and I’d like to thank senior markets officer Yasmin Ullah for making it go so well. We had a fantastic response from members of the public, and will be back soon - so watch this space!”
