Food safety course at your local library

Looking to enter the catering industry? Then a food safety course at Topping Fold Community Centre and Library could give you the start you need.

It will cover topics such as food poisoning, bacteria, prevention and contamination, cleaning and disinfection, premises equipment, pest control, legislation and personal hygiene.

It takes place on Monday 16 June from 9.30am to 5pm, and is open to residents of East Ward in Bury.

Funded through the Community Learning grant, this is an accredited course which, if completed successfully, will give learners a Level 2 award in Food Safety in Catering Certificate from the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health).

Places are free, but must be booked by calling Claire Bebbington on 0161 253 7890.
