Get a healthy start at our Green Flag parks

The latest improvements to Bury’s award-winning parks have just been installed to help visitors keep fit in the great outdoors.

New active image floor markers have been laid at 13 parks to encourage communities and especially families to maintain healthy lifestyles.

The floor markers have been funded and commissioned by Bury Council and Sport England and complement a number of physical activity facilities at these parks.

Councillor Alan Quinn, cabinet member for the environment, climate change and operations, said: “We’re proud to have so many parks across Bury which have been awarded Green Flag status, and we’ve invested a lot of money into improving them for the benefit of local communities. These new facilities are a bit of fun and hopefully will encourage young families to get out into our parks and enjoy a healthy lifestyle from an early age.”
