Get the bug for coding at Bury libraries

MadLab is running a free hour of coding sessions for children in three local libraries on Saturday 12 December.

Get the Bug for Coding with CodeBug takes place at Bury Library (9.30am to 10.30am), Whitefield Library (11.30am to 12.30pm) and Ramsbottom Library (2pm to 3pm).

This is a fun and engaging introduction to easy drag-and-drop programming and electronics. In just a few clicks you will program this versatile little computer to display your own message and, by the end of the session, you’ll have created a scrolling name badge and a many-faced bug!

Participants will receive a free kit worth £15 to take home and keep, which includes a CodeBug, a quick-start guide, and a micro USB cable for programming and power.

All workshops are aimed at children aged 8–12 and are suitable for those who have no prior coding experience.
